Dr. Kelly Maxwell was born in upstate New York. She is a graduate from Boston University where she earned a B.A. in Biology. She then moved to North Carolina and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2009. After completing a one year internship in emergency medicine, she began working at a small animal hospital in northern Florida. She moved to Marathon with her dog, Cody, and her two cats, Squints and Fenway. Her special interests include emergency medicine, endocrinology, and exotic animal medicine.
