Ultrasound is the preferred method for visualizing soft tissue. Using ultrasound our veterinarians can visualize the structure of various parts of the anatomy including the abdomen, organs, glands, lymph nodes, and even suspicious masses cysts and tumors.
This non-invasive method of observation can also be utilized to obtain crucial biopsies, aspirations, and fluid samples from your pet. The images and samples obtained can aid our veterinarians in diagnosing a variety of medical conditions including heart disease, cancer, inflammatory conditions such as pancreatitis or inflammatory bowel disease, and urinary tract infections. The use of ultrasound can also provide our veterinarians with the pivotal clues they need to decide whether or not your pet may need to go to surgery.
