With digital film, the time once needed for processing and handling is eliminated and crystal clear images are now immediately available for review by our doctors. X-rays can be used to diagnose a variety of different conditions in every species; from a life threatening foreign body in the intestine of your dog to nutritional deficiency in your bearded dragon. To make the best possible x-rays your pet must be calm and relaxed because inappropriate movement may result in a ‘blurred’ image. Therefore, the use of sedatives or anesthetics may be indicated to facilitate taking proper x-rays.
