Here at MVH we perform state-of-the-art Carbon Dioxide laser surgery.
Laser surgery is an alternative to the scalpel. The laser produces a beam of light that cauterizes as it cuts, reducing the bleeding. This helps the surgeon more easily visulaize the surgery site, thus speeding up the procedure time. This is beneficial for your pet because it means less time under anesthesia.
There are many benefits to using the laser including
- Less pain
- Less swelling
- Less tissue trauma
- Decreased chance of infection
Ask your Veterinarian if the laser can be used for your pet’s procedure.
